People's Linen, founded in 1925, was
once known as a "wet laundry". The laundry
(clothing and linen) was picked up, washed and delivered,
clean, but "wet", for the "people"
of the local area.
Originally located in Rutland, Vermont, the company
moved to Keene about 1940 and thereafter began to carefully
evolve into the sophisticated linen service company
that People's is today.
In the 1960's an opportunity to provide linen service
to a ski resort led to the transformation of People's
into a professional, textile rental and complete linen
service company.
The keys to the transformation of People's have been
several:

- focusing on the customer at

Today People's Linen operates a 42,000+
sq. ft. facility and is currently expanding. People's
equipment includes two continuous-batch washers and
a variety of specialty equipment enabling People's to
serve a large variety of commercial customers.
